We are hiring for an Outside Regional Sales Manager to become an authorized manager for a Fortune 100 client that is one of the most respected financial services companies in the world. You will be responsible for promoting our client’s value and brand to small and medium sized business accounts to ensure field agents are selling and enrolling new business accounts in a designated regional territory.  You will coach consultative sales effectiveness techniques to sales agents who are promoting market program initiatives.  The candidate should be comfortable and efficient in territory management, hitting assigned metrics, documentation and reporting, accountability, and possess a strong attention to detail and high quality interpersonal skills.  They will use consultative customer service techniques, coaching techniques, and reporting techniques to interview and observe business owners for compliance and coaching purposes.  The Regional Sales Manager should be comfortable and efficient in territory management, presentation effectiveness, as well as CRM activity tracking and documentation.  


This position is a high travel position within the greater Bay Area (90%), managing a team of up to 15 outside sales agents. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for reporting, leading, and coaching field sales agents who will be conducting door-to-door business-to-business client service cold calls guided by a predetermined account list.  


  • Must own a reliable automobile, possess a valid driver's license and have current auto insurance with limits that can be increased to meet our company requirements.
  • This position requires 8 hours in the field with agents visiting 15 plus businesses a day with the goal of having value conversations with decision-makers and guiding them through the sales process.
  • Pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen per Company standards.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to get in and out of your vehicle up to 35 times a day.
  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day.
  • Must be able to carry up to 15 pounds.
  • High integrity, able to motivate to high productivity.
  • Manage team training initiatives & coaching to help drive productivity.
  • Manage regional sales agents to achieve and average the minimum prescribed standards of uniquerecord visits per day.
  • Manage Regional Sales Agents to maintain quality documentation/address Quality Control flags indicating inaccurate data submitted by agent and/or course correct presentation flaws.
  • Assess, deliver, and review Performance Improvement Plans with agents.
  • Manage pre-planning activities for Regional Sales Agent observations and be in the field prepared to make customer visits:  presentation materials correctly stocked and ready; pre-planning with Regional Sales Agents, appointment schedules, and to-dos. 
  • The ability to Manage own travel arrangements and expense report.
  • Competent in using spreadsheets, documents, CRM Systems including Sales Force.


  • Organized with a high attention to detail.
  • Willing to work in the field with agents at least 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm).
  • Ability to meet weekly and monthly activity team metric goals.
  • Able to effectively present, sell, and coach businesses on our client’s brand value.
  • High degree of professional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Proficient in using company issued iPhones, iPads, and CRM systems to manage and document daily activities.
  • 2+ years of B2B field management experience successfully managing a team of 5 or more.
